Measure can be scored manually or using computer software (floppy disk drive is required). Scoring and interpretation requires completion of graduate level courses in psychological testing and measurement, or documentation of equivalent experience/training.
The norms, reliability and validity statistics included in each measure profile are those reported by the author(s) of the measure. It is important to note that altering, adding or removing questions from a measure voids these reported statistics, possibly making the revised tool unreliable and invalid.
This measure was standardized on a sample of 737 males and 814 female elementary school students (grades 4-6; ages 9-12).
The authors report internal consistency reliabilities (alphas) of 0.78-0.87, and test-retest reliabilities of 0.31-0.71. Further studies have reported alphas of 0.74-0.89, test-retest reliabilities of 0.37-0.74, and split-half reliabilities of 0.64-0.74 (please see Key References for more details).
The authors report evidence of moderate concurrent and divergent validities. Further studies have reported evidence of moderate convergent validity (please see Key References for more details).
