Interpersonal, affective, behavioural, and antisocial traits associated with psychopathy.

Measure was designed to assess the presence of psychopathic traits in adolescents.

Measure can be used to help antisocial youth in the process of becoming socially responsible adults, as well as in research purposes to help understand how antisocial behavior in adolescence can lead to psychopathy in adulthood.

Use of the measure requires that the user has completed graduate-level courses in tests and measurement at a university or has received equivalent documented training. Additionally, user must have training and/or experience in the use of tests, and must have completed an advanced degree in an appropriate profession. Also, membership in a relevant professional organization (e.g., APA) or a license/certificate in psychology or psychiatry may be necessary.

A scoring form is used to score the measure by hand. Raw scores on each of the subscales are then converted to T-scores. Measure also provides a total score.

Measure was standardized on a sample of 2,438 adolescents in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Authors report internal consistency alphas ranging from .85 to .94. Authors also report interrater reliability as acceptable and around .70 for all items. Additionally, subscale alphas have ranged from .68-.77. Others have reported subscale internal consistency alphas ranging from .50-.82 (See ""Key References"" for more details).

Authors report evidence of convergent, discriminant, and predictive validity.
