Theme: Implementing or evaluating culturally responsive mental health and addictions programs for children, youth and families facing systemic inequities.

Research shows that programs designed to meet the needs of children and youth affected by systemic inequities are more effective and have greater impact. Last year, we saw the power of culturally responsive programs in action. From reducing stigma among Muslim immigrants and refugees to adapting care models like SNAP® for Black youth, these initiatives proved that when mental health care is culturally adapted, it’s more effective. That is why we are renewing our call for projects in this critical area, reinforcing our commitment to equity, diversity, inclusivity, and anti-racism.
