Impact report 2019: Raising the bar for children, youth and families

This year — 2019 — is a big one for us at the Centre: it’s our 15th anniversary and we know that we have a lot to be proud of! Even within just the past year we have led the development of quality standards for youth and family engagement, implemented recommendations to bridge the gap between primary care and community-based mental health services, helped improve data integration and access for decision-making and much more.

And all that during a year in which transition has been an overriding theme. Notably, this includes our sector — child and youth mental health — moving to the Ministry of Health, and our own internal shift to raise the bar on impact by focusing intently on system-level changes that break down barriers to better care and strengthen services in every community.

With those transitions in mind, we took a little different approach to our impact report this year. Of course, we still wanted to share what we’ve done, and the impact it has had. But we also wanted to share how that work is continuing and where we are going next. We’ve refined our strategic plan and sharpened our focus, and we are so excited to share with you how we are raising the bar for children, youth and families.
