Open call: Impact grants for mental health, substance use and addictions care

We’re excited to kick off another round of impact grant funding in partnership with Mental Health Research Canada. This time, we’re asking agency leaders and service providers to work with researchers or academics to transform promising research into impactful practice and improved services for young people experiencing both mental health and substance use or addictions challenges.

Young people between the ages of 15 and 24 have the highest rates of substance use disorder or addiction in Canada — and the highest rates of co-occurring mental health challenges. This highlights the need to improve service integration and ensure timely access to services.

Our impact grants, worth up to $100,000 each, were created to advance evidence-based, innovative solutions to key issues in our sector. We can’t wait to see what comes up in the proposals and look forward to helping fuel impactful improvements to substance use and addictions care. Proposals are due by November 28.
