Despite Ontario’s increasingly diverse population, the province is lacking culturally responsive programs. This report is our organization’s first step in making culturally responsive programs more widespread. It outlines the benefits of adapting evidence-based programs — to meet the unique aspects of a client’s culture, language or value — and provides recommendations to help child and youth mental health addictions agencies develop, scale or implement culturally responsive programs.
