Quality improvement
We support organizations to strengthen services, reduce barriers, and improve outcomes through proven quality improvement approaches, practical tools, and learning opportunities.
Quality standards
We develop evidence-informed quality standards that provide a shared foundation to guide service design, delivery, and improvement across Ontario’s child and youth mental health and addictions sector.
One shared goal:
strengthening quality of services for children and young people in Ontario
Quality standards help define what high-quality care looks like. Quality improvement helps organizations put those ideas into practice. Together, they support continuous improvement and strengthen Ontario’s child and youth mental health and addictions sector.
How we develop quality standards
Our standard development process is based on a rigorous review of other organizations’ approaches, combined with our own sector-specific methodology rooted in meaningful engagement, implementation science, and evaluation.
Every quality standard is co-developed with a Quality Standard Advisory Committee (QSAC) and refined through consultation and a public feedback period to ensure it is practical, relevant, and responsive to real-world needs.
The QSAC brings together clinicians, researchers, sector leaders, and people with lived and living experience to help shape the standard from start to finish.
