The Quality standard for youth engagement and the Quality standard for family engagement describe what high-quality youth engagement and family engagement looks like in our sector. Even though these two standards are unique, when it comes to implementing them, the same process can be used for both.

This guide describes three stages of implementation that can be adapted and customized to your local context as you work to bring the quality standards for engagement to life. Each section lists activities that will help you plan, execute, and sustain your implementation. These are examples that you can build on as you work towards the best practice of empowering young people and family members as valuable partners in decision-making.
